A unique blend of the famous Islay Malt, Laphroaig, together with a select number of Highland and Speyside malts which together with the grain add subtlety and mellowness to the Laphroaig.  Even so, Islay Mist is probably the peatiest blended scotch in the world.  It contains a higher percentage of malt whisky than standard blends, which adds to its quality.

Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2006 gives Islay Mist 17 Year Old one of the highest scores, 93 points.
