This is Nick, one of our wine experts here at Lakeview Wine Co., and his staff pick is our Lakeview Cellars Malbec Reserve. Deep in colour with complex aromatics, this wine boasts notes of pomegranate, plum, and a hint of spice on the nose. On the palate, enjoy bold notes of black cherry, dark plum, blueberry and hints of mocha with an elegant finish. The Malbec is also a recent award winner, winning Double-Gold at the 2021 All Canadian Wine Championships

“The Lakeview Malbec Reserve is the first red that I instantly fell in love with. I never thought I could enjoy a red wine, which is why I am happy to admit that our Malbec changed my opinion. It is the smoothest red I have ever tried, with lovely blackberry, mulberry and coffee notes and a very easy finish. The Malbec grape is more typically grown in warm climate regions like Chile and is quite rare to see grown in Canada, making this Niagara VQA wine even more special due to its rarity. This wine will go perfect with steak or heavier cheeses, however I prefer to enjoy it on its own after a long day.
