Today’s a good opportunity to talk about a new line of five Ontario wines that appeared on liquor store shelves a few weeks ago. Like a lot of domestic wine brands launched over the last couple of years, this group of five is themed around a consistent image, and to my mind clearly is targeted at, or at very least leans strongly toward, the important market of younger women.

St. Catharines Standard: New labels introduced to ‘value’ Niagara wine segment

Also launching in September is a new brand from Diamond Estates Wines and Spirits called Fresh. The grapes for this five-bottle series of two white blends, two red blends and a rose are sourced from the same vineyards Birchwood Estate wines were made from.

Up until May 22, EastDell Estates Winery will be donating 50 cents from every bottle of wine sold in the LCBO towards the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
